NOTE: If you are having problems with crashing after updating Five Dice, you may have gotten a corrupted update from the App Store application.

We have contacted Apple several times and the fix should show up in your updates list no later than 9/1. Apples processes seems to be taking about 5 to 8 days right now.

The following steps should solve the problem for any application experiencing these issues:
  1. Remove the app from the device (Hold your finger on an app icon until they shake, then touch the X on the Five Dice icon.)
  2. Reboot your device (This seems to be an important step.)
  3. Delete the app from your iTunes Applications list and be sure to move it to the trash when prompted.
  4. Re-download the application using iTunes (you can always re-download any purchased app for free from the store. just click buy now and confirm. You will not be charged a second time if you are logged in as the user that bought the app originally.)
  5. Re-sync your device to iTunes
  6. One more reboot

This is the solution presented on Apple's discussion lists, and one that I have had to revert to on numerous occasions with other apps. The App Store application on the devices seems most susceptible to causing corrupted installs.

It would also seem that this process may need to be completed more than once. If you get to where you can actually start the game then it dies right after a roll or two, and will not restart, reboot your device and things should work normally.

Please let us know though if you still have problems. I understand how frustrating this is, and hope we can work closer with Apple to get this fixed for all developers and users. I have posted a new update to Apple today that I hope will quickly replace the corrupted binary.
